Stretch marks in men typically appear on the arms, back, shoulders, chest, abdomen, buttocks, and thighs, often due to rapid growth spurts during puberty or rapid muscle growth from bodybuilding.
These marks are caused by the skin stretching too quickly, leading to internal tears and the visible appearance of the deeper skin layers.
Scarring related to injury or surgery is also common in men. As is acne scarring.

We offer two effective treatments for reducing the appearance of stretch marks and scars in men: microneedling with our SkinPen device and radiofrequency (RF) microneedling with our Morpheus8 device.
Microneedling triggers a natural response in your body: the stimulation of collagen production. This collagen makes the skin smoother and firmer, improving the texture and appearance of stretch marks and scars.
Our hand-held SkinPen device uses small needles to purposefully injure your skin – penetrating just the top dermal layer – to stimulate this beneficial collagen production.
Microneedling helps break up tough scar tissue and stimulate smoother skin. For stretch marks, it thickens and strengthens the skin where it’s been stretched thin.
Over time, skin appears less indented, more even in tone, and visibly firmer.
Numbing of the treatment area is required before microneedling treatment. Including the time needed for numbing, a typical microneedling session is 45 to 60 minutes.
Multiple SkinPen treatments will be needed to reduce your stretch marks or scars. Our suggestion is to start with a series of four sessions scheduled three to four weeks apart.

Microneedling with radiofrequency (RF) energy, using our Morpheus8 device, is considered minimally invasive and is a more aggressive approach compared to our SkinPen microneedling treatment.
While the needles create tiny micro-channels, RF heat travels down into the fat and connective tissue layers, tightening fibers and rebuilding from below.
This thermal remodeling breaks up scar tissue, smooths stretch marks, and stimulates tighter, firmer skin.
Morpheus8 offers customizable needle depth and RF intensity, meaning it can treat both superficial and deep scars/stretch marks — whether they’re fresh red streaks or older, silvery lines.
Numbing of the treatment area is required before treatment. Including the time needed for numbing, a typical radiofrequency microneedling session is 75 to 90 minutes.
A series of three treatments will be needed for best results. These will be scheduled four weeks apart.

Stretch marks and scars, like any scar tissue, are permanent alterations to the skin, meaning they won't completely disappear.
How your scars and stretch marks respond to treatment can depend on a few variables such as how severe (i.e.- deep) is the scar, how old is the scar, and how is your overall skin health.
Whether we are using SkinPen or RF microneedling with Morpheus8 you will need to shave the area around your scars and stretch marks. Even leaving stubble can interfere with the treatment.
We minimize your discomfort by using a topical numbing agent before treatment.
Radiofrequency microneedling will be a bit more uncomfortable compared to the SkinPen because it treats at a deeper depth and also delivers heat to the area.
Since the procedure involves penetrating the skin, it temporarily disturbs both the surface and the deeper layers. This disturbance, though essential for rejuvenating the skin, can trigger reactions such as edema (swelling) and erythema (redness).
The treatment area may feel sensitive, itchy, or burn slightly. This is only temporary.
Flaking is a normal part of the healing process as the skin regenerates.
Bruising can occur, especially with deeper microneedling, but usually resolves within a week.
