The heat being applied is very comfortable- it will reach 110 degrees F. You may feel the RF energy as short pulses that come and go like waves in the ocean. This sensation isn't painful or even uncomfortable.
Both Define Chin and Define Cheek use FDA-cleared technology that has been proven safe and effective. The device has many clever built-in safety features including a "patient call button" and shut-off and automatic temperature controls. After treatment you may have some small indentations (from the applicator) for a couple of hours and a little redness, but hardly noticeable. You may feel mild warmth in the treatment area for an hour or two.
Typically, it will take four sessions over a four week period before you notice significant results. Improvements can continue to develop for up to eight to 12 weeks after your last treatment.
Define skin tightening results can last several months to a year, but they are not permanent. Bi-annual or quarterly maintenance sessions can help maintain the results. A healthy lifestyle, consistent skincare routine, and sun protection also helps.
