Microneedling can be a better option for men with darker skin tones who are not candidates for energy-based skin tightening treatments (laser or radiofrequency) or chemical-based therapies (“chemical peels”). The heat being applied is very comfortable- it will reach 110 degrees F. You may feel the RF energy as short pulses that come and go like waves in the ocean. This sensation isn't painful or even uncomfortable. Close --- Does Define treatment have side effects? Both Define Chin and Define Cheek use FDA-cleared technology that has been proven safe and effective. The device has many clever built-in safety features including a "patient call button" and shut-off and automatic temperature controls. After treatment you may have some small indentations (from the applicator) for a couple of hours and a little redness, but hardly noticeable.
